Hi, My mother is from Fontane, family name Simetich (Simetic) born 1928-2013 and my father is from Sugari, Barbana, family name Battel (Batel) born 1920 -( ) Istria.
I stumbled across this looking for more info on my dad and his time in Dachau, 1944-1945. This has been very helpful.
Family are still living in Pula and surrounding Istria.
I was there in 1975. Hope to make it back soon. Any cousins out there, would love to catch up.
