Božje Polje / Campo
(near Vizinada / Visinada)

This stone head is above the door to the gothic Church of Madonna dei Campi which had an adjacent monastery that was erected by the Templars during the time of the Crusades. One theory about this head is that it is the allegorical head of Attila, the Hun. See Alberi for related legends, p. 1201-2.
