Vodice / Vodizze This head is in Vodice, a little village up in the mountains north of Buzet. It s unusual in that it has a mustache and what looks to me like a Doge's cap. An interesting combination. Have any of the Dodges sported a mustache or was it the sculptor's fancy? Or is the head just wearing a nightcap? :-) Text and photograpb by Mirko Gabler. |
