This section on our virtual home is devoted to hand crafts, manufacturing and the various traditional trades of Istria. It excludes agriculture (crop farming and animal husbandry) and aquaculture (fishing and maritime) which are trades that have their own respective sections on our domain. Some of the ancient crafts and trades continue to thrive while others have become extinct and/or replaced by modern technology. Please help us to record the time-honored skills, techniques, inventions, and unique products and trades of our forefathers, even those that are antiquitated or cannot be revived. Share with us any information you may have from your family memories or written materials.
