Goats Bianca and Pietro are the nicest Istrian symbols

The traditional selection of the most Istrian, the most beautiful and the most likeable animal was done in Sanvicenti during the weekend where there participated all the most notable domestic breeders

SVETIVICENAT - In Sanvicenti on Sunday, during the eighth traditional Day of the County celebration, there was a “Super-Goat” competition in three categories: for the most Istrian, the most beautiful, and the most likeable goat.

In the first category out of 17 entries, the title went to Foska, a goat owned by Anton Folo. For the most beautiful goat, the first prize went to Bianca, owned by David Trento, while the proud Mr., buck Piero’s owner, is Nevio Valente. The first runner-up in the female category was Bilka, owned by Anton Butkovic and the second runner-up was Kapra, owned by Kapra d.o.o.. She was also sold at the auction for 2000 kuna ($360). The most likeable goat was Katerina, owned by Darko Pilianda.

As a reward the goats received a necklace made of ivy, which they ate and the owners are rewarded with white technology (bijela tehnika)?

The judges were; President Alfredo Jedrejcic, Livio Bokovic, Dalibor Macan and Gianni Pincan and the criteria used was beauty, health and udder composition.

To make the program even more interesting, they organized the milking of goats where 15 observers [members of the audience] tried their luck in milking, which is not that simple. Declared the best person in milking goats was Ivanka Plisko, who was able to milk about 1.5 liters of milk.

The kids  Children also tried to milk the goats and the youngest of them was a four-year old Mario Galas. Similarly old Of the same age, Lun Dellabernardina and Noela Trento were nominated as the youngest breeders of goats. The numerous [sizeable] public audience was entertained by the children of the kindergarten “Baloncic” with dancing, shows and recitals. Responsible for the later entertainment were Drazen Zecic, duo Provin and KUD from Sanvicenti, and Roverci and Roverci. Besides dancing and singing, the guests could have [were invited to] participated in the tasting of the domestic goat cheese.
