This plant is perennial, 5-20 cm high, growing cushion-shaped, with lower leaves linear, upper leaves spathulate lanceolate. Flowers with long pedicels, 4 petals and sepals, petals white growing on limestone-rocks (vertical or subvertical cliffs between 100 and 350 m alt.). Flowers from April to June

This plant is endemic to Istria! It grows rarely from the Val Rosandra southwards to Bagni di S. Stefano / Istarske Toplice (Bagnoli della Rosandra / Bolliunz, Rupi, S. Sergio / Crnikal / St. Serff, Ospo / Osp, Popecchio / Podpec, M. Vena, M. Stena / Vrh Stene, Nugla, Berda).
