| July 28, 2000 - These photographs
were taken on the opening night of the summer film festival at the Arena
of Pula/Pola. The fireworks commemorating the event were about to begin
in the bay (photos below).
Below - a typical summer's eve stroll at the Forum of Pola, an ancient forum dating back to the times of Imperial Rome. It is now officially named "Piazza della Repubblica" and "Trg Republike" but everyone continues to call it by its popular name, "il Foro". |
