Una credenza di Gallignana La persona nella fotografia di sotto si chiama Emilio Putinja (detto Mile Okiæ). E' appoggiato alla bellissima e antica chiesetta di Santa Maria o della Madonna o, che la gente del posto indica col nome della Madonna del Calvario o dei Sette Dolori che e' proprio di fronte a palazzo Salamon. Nelle fessure, fra le pietre della chiesa, sono conficcati tantissimi chiodi (ormai arrugginiti). Mile mi ha spiegato che ce li mettevano le coppie che non riuscivano ad avere figli. Io, scherzando, gli ho chiesto: "Ci hai messo anche tu qualche chiodo?". "Come no! - mi ha risposto - Ne ho messi tre. E ho avuto tre figlie!". Alberto Cerna |
A Gracisce Superstition The person in the photo below is Emilio Putinja (alias Mile Okiæ). He is leaning against the beautiful and antique church of Santa Maria or the Madonna, that the local people call by the name Madonna of the Calvary or of the Seven Sorrows. It is directly alongside the Salamon palace. In the cracks between the stones of the church, there are embedded many nails (now totally rusted). Mile explained to me that they were put there by married couples that were unable to have children. Jokingly, I asked him: "Did you also put in any nails?" "Of course!" he answered me.
