Committee for Private Property, Inc. is a non-profit organization,
registered in New Jersey, USA, dedicated to the advancement of property rights in Romania.
Since the Second World War the communists confiscated countless properties and other goods
belonging to Romanian and foreign nationals.
The present government and parliament are the main beneficiaries of the
looting of properties by the previous tyrants.
Identifying the profiteers and the methods used by the present
authorities, to transfer possession of our properties to themselves and their clients is a
difficult task, as they control the archives and the rule of law is still foreign to the
justice system of present Romania.
CPP has documented nearly 2,000 individual rightful owners asking for the
restitution of property.
