Subject:  "Restitution in Poland"

Hi:

I am forwarding hereby a very important article received today from a friend in California.

Few things to be noted:

1.  "The building, bought by her ancestors in early 19th century, was destroyed in WW2 and REBUILT(!!!???) in the immediate postwar years".....

How I read this:  "Ms. Beller had her house destroyed, the Commies re-built it, she claims not the original but the re-built which is a replica of the original".

So, suppose the house was not rebuilt, what would she claim? This is very very significant!! It seems in Poland one can claim even a "destroyed-subsequently-rebuilt" properties.

2.  Please see that the "Brooklyn Case" I have forwarded to you is a very important one.

3.  See "Many here believe..." Actually the complete rest of the article is very very significant and important.

.......................

Question:

Who is the closest in Europe and in the best position to contact a.s.a.p. the Owners Union of Poland, Mr. Miroslaw Szypowski?

.........................

Best regards,

Hrvoje
